Der perfekte Einstieg in das Segeln und den weiteren RYA Kursen

Der Competent Crew Kurs ist ideal für Jollensegler, für komplette Neulinge und für jene, die schon Crewmitglied waren und mehr Kenntnisse erwerben wollen. Sie werden alle erforderlichen Fähigkeiten erlernen, die Sie weltweit zu einem vollwertigen Cremitglied machen. Wir fügen noch ein paar Extras in Ihre Ausbildung ein wie das steuern einer Segelyacht und das Anlegen.  Nach einem fantastischen und informativen Segelurlaub in der einzigartigen Inselwelt des Ionischen Meeres werden Sie mit viel Wissen über das Yachtsegeln und einer soliden Grundlage für weiter Segeltörns die Heimreise antreten.

 

How you can take the course.

Individuell

Sie teilen sich die Yacht mit anderen Personen. Wir empfehlen Gruppen mit nicht mehr als 4 Personen. Der Vorteil ist, Ihr Ausbilder kann sich intensiver Ihnen widmen und mehr Platz und Komfort geniessen Sie auch. Die Kurse dauern 5,5 Tage mit genügend Zeit zur Erholung oder Sie nützen die restliche Zeit um Ihre bereits erworbenen Kenntnisse mit Ihrem Ausbilder zu vertiefen.

Privat

Sie chartern  mit Partnern, Freunden oder Ihrer Familie eine Yacht für 7 Tage, vorzugsweise nicht mehr als 4 Personen. Diese Form der Ausbildung gewährleistet einen persönlichen Unterricht, mehr Platz und Komfort und schliesslich mehr Zeit für Sie an Bord, um einen Einblick in die Welt des Segelns zu bekommen. Besonders geeignet für Anfänger, die sich zum ersten Mal auf einer Seglyacht befinden.  .

Syllabus

Knowledge of Sea Terms and Parts of the Boat

Knowledge of

  • Sufficient knowledge to understand the orders given concerning the sailing and day to day running of the boat.

 

Sail Handling

Can

  • Bend on, set, reef and handle sails
  • Use sheets and halyards and their associated winches
Rope Work

Understands

  • How to tie a rolling hitch, single and double sheet bend, and knows their correct use.

Can

  • Use sheets and halyards and their associated winches
  • Handle ropes, including coiling, stowing, securing to cleats and single and double bollards.
  • Handle warps
  • Tie the following knots and knows their correct use: figure of eight; clove hitch; bowline; round turn and two half hitches; reef knot.
Fire Precautions and Fighting

Understands

  • The hazards of fire and the precautions necessary to prevent it

Can

  • Carry out the action to be taken in the event of fire
Personal Safety Equipment

Understands

  • How to comply with guidance for the wearing of safety harness, life jackets and personal buoyancy aids
Man Overboard

Understands

  • The action to be taken to recover a man overboard
  • How cold-water shock can be affect a casualty in the water
Emergency Equipment

Understands

  • How to launch and board a life raft

Can

  • Operate distress flares and knows when they should be used
Manners and Customs

Understands

  • Accepted practice with regards to: use of burgees and ensigns: prevention of unnecessary noise or disturbance in harbour including courtesies to other berthed craft
  • The responsibility of the boating community to protect the environment
Rules of the Road

Can

  • Keep an efficient look out at sea
Tender Usage

Understands

  • The loading rules and complies with them
  • The use and importance of the kill cord
  • Safety equipment for tenders

Can

  • Handle a dinghy under oars
Meteorology

Knowledge of

  • The Beaufort Scale

Understands

  • The forecasting services and where to obtain a forecast
Seasickness
  • Working efficiency is unaffected/partially affected/severely affected by seasickness
Helmsmanship and Sailing

Understands

  • The lbasic principles of sailing

Can

  • Steer and trim sails on all points of sailing
  • Steer a compass course, under sail and power
General Duties

Can

  • Carry out general duties satisfactory on deck and below decks in connection with the daily routine of the vessel
